Thanks for firing me!

I switched jobs around 7-8 times in the last few years, and here's the long list of ways I got fired or quit. I am 19. This is what happens when you have NO union and give employers 100% of the bargaining power. 1st job: Fired in 1 week over $3 till shortage This one broke my heart for a long time. I felt really stupid. (7.75/hr) 2nd job: Fired in 1 day (Laid off, had no room for any more workers) ($7.25+tip) At this point my self esteem was basically crushed because these were my first few jobs. 3rd job: 3 weeks. Seafood. Fired. I made “too many mistakes”. It was very common to take 50-60 orders on paper in a night. I made an error on one. Where the loss was $0. It was a mix-up that was fixed quickly.

(7.75/hr)

2nd job: Fired in 1 day (Laid off, had no room for any more workers) ($7.25+tip)

At this point my self esteem was basically crushed because these were my first few jobs.

3rd job: 3 weeks. Seafood. Fired. I made “too many mistakes”. It was very common to take 50-60 orders on paper in a night. I made an error on one. Where the loss was $0. It was a mix-up that was fixed quickly. Manager wanted to hire me back because she can't find workers. Stop firing everybody! ($9/hr)

4th job: Fired in 2 days. It was FOH+BOH work. You had to switch from dishwashing, restocking, cleaning, serving, it was just a lot at once. Plus how to assemble every sandwich. I guess I was fired because I didn't learn it all, immediately. I wasn't actually given a reason. Subway sandwiches! ($7.25 an hour + tips) that maybe got you up to $8. I couldn't even buy a sandwich.

At this point, you're probably like, “what the fuck?” I'm sure y'all might have something negative to say.

5th job: Worked at a pizza restaurant. $10/hr. Quit after 8 months b/c I wanted more hours + to move up.

6th job: Fired in 2 days. $10/hr. I was curious to how much someone else made and asked them. Fired at will the moment I left work. Fun!

7th Job: Delivery driving. Okay, this one was a little fun. At times. $6.50/hr on the road pay, 35c/mile and $8/hr in store pay + tips. Rarely, the pay was $20 an hour. Usually $10-13, less after gas.- Left due to sexual harassment by our clientele and manager. Manager offered to fk me after I quit lmao.. NTY

I work these currently:

8th job: Serving! Corporation. $2.13 but I can usually get at least to $13 with tips. Sometimes $20. Sometimes $25! My managers are nice, patient and encouraging.

9th job. Bartending! Locally owned. $8/hr. My manager sometimes slips me $100. He does that for all new workers. He is awesome and generous. I get $40-$50/hr in tips.

Do we notice a pattern here? I'm getting paid more to do less the more I get fired and the more I quit.

No, I will not stop asking people how much they make. This is the corporate culture they try to scam us into to censor us into getting paid less. And nobody's trying to fuck me here! This is great!

I received an approximately 300% pay increase just by getting fired. SO, thanks for firing me!
