I was written up for taking unplanned vacation days to recover from being hit by a car.

I got in an accident recently, but I still managed to work my shift that day. I was running on adrenaline, but I don’t think I could have handled it the next day. I had to take the day off to get checked out by a doctor and get some x-rays. The following day was my day off, but I had to take another day off the next day, which was a Saturday, because I was still pretty shaken up and sore still. I worked for an hour that day, but then I had to go home. I spent the whole weekend sleeping. When I came back to work, I got a written warning saying that I would be terminated if I missed any more work without notice. I was furious. I told them I had been in an accident. Still getting over being mad. Does your company have different kinds of time off? Have you ever experienced this?

Edit: To preface, I was given a verbal warning last quarter for missing more than 2 days or a total of 8 hours (whichever comes first). But I cannot miss any more work whatsoever until the 1st of October or it escalates.
