Hopefully I can get some insight on this but this is a first in my career. So, there’s a new facility being built where I live. I accepted a job as one of the first few hired there and left a really good paying job for a slight pay cut to be closer to home. Before I took the job, they lined out a schedule to be trained at an existing facility, a few states away for 6 weeks. Makes sense. So, 6 weeks comes and goes and they say well, it’s going to be more like 16 weeks. We’re all pretty pissed off and with the work schedule, we can only visit home a couple days a month. This has been going on now for 18 weeks and we can’t get any answers on when we’ll be returning home as they build our site, and move on with training. It’s insane. I can’t get any answers from and managers, HR, etc. What should I do? Of course it’s an at will bullshit state, and they fired one of the other new hires for being more vocal about his concerns and saying he wasn’t a good fit. Should I call the anon company ethics line? Literally trapped working out of state, can’t see my family, and it’s literally not what I signed up for. Any advice would be great
