To be the pain in the a** employee

I’ve always been the easy employee. The one who does my job without being asked. The one who goes above and beyond without being thanked. Always on time, stays late, on top of their shit day and day out. Rarely complains. Has worked on so many days that I really didn’t want to (including the day my grandma died. And another day when I had a miscarriage. Not to mention countless days where I just didn’t feel very well). Almost never takes a lunch. Doesn’t do non work things on company time. Doesn’t stand around the water cooler chatting. Head down. Nose to the grindstone. Once again, I have a boss who sucks. I think I’m going to be the opposite of all that going forward.
