It's 108+ where I am. We work inside a hot ass building with no A/C. Don't really want to go into too much detail for anonymity. But anyway………I hate it. This is my 3rd summer at this place and i don't remember it sucking this much the other years. My boss does not give a flying fuck about us working in the heat. Some departments don't even have fans!!!!!! There's all these OSHA signs posted about taking rests if you feel overheated, making sure you get plenty of water, ect. But of course taking a rest isn't allowed.
There are some departments I'm sure the temperature is reaching above 115°. One day I really thought I was going to die. I started getting dizzy and couldn't see. I really fucking hate it. I just wish this company could actually give a little bit of a fuck, like they pretend to. Lol. We are a family after all. Just fuvk that place and fuck this stupid ass heat. Fuck the SUN!!!!!! Stop talking about the sun (Office reference) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Anyway I am not looking forward to these next few weeks when it's going to be hotter than it already has been.
I'm ready for winter. I'd rather freeze my ass off and not be able to feel my fingers and toes than deal with this hot ass shit. So many people have quit and I'm sure many more will too in the next few weeks. Not just because of the heat. We also get worked to death on top of the heat. Mandatory overtime allllllll the time. Sometimes we work 12 hour days. It's just becoming too much. With the heat and all the other bullshit we have to deal with idk how I've made it. But I deal with it so I don't have to go back to minimum wage. I guess I'd rather risk my health and life than go back to $8 a hour lol. Fuck that.
