Anyone ever lie about trivial stuff in a job interview?

Sometimes I think that going into an interview it’s more about whether the interviewers can get along with potential candidate rather than their actual skills. Has anyone ever lied, or told half-truths about stuff that doesn’t pertain to their qualifications, just to get the job and “let their hair down”? Examples: Music Religion Sexual Orientation Military Status Family Political Views Sports-Either watching or performing I know that this sounds harsh, but I don’t see the harm in it to get a job. My opinion is that if this stuff makes more difference than actual qualifications, then F*#ck’em, I’ll lead them to believe whatever to get hired, since none of that crap really matters when it comes down to performing your job well.
