People gave companies their loyalties, because those companies gave back: pensions, family medical benefits, a livable wage (not just for that person but for HIS FAMILY)… Now those companies give the bare minimum and people wonder why “no one wants to work” or “young people job hop like crazy”
… we job hop because even a cost of living increase is hard to find, minimum wage goes up and starting wages for new hires increases but those who are “loyal” are left ignored and even surpassed by the people coming in later with less experience.
RULES THAT JUST MAKE SENSE TO THIS AMERICAN HUMAN:
-
A billionaire and someone needing gov. assistance for basic essentials (Food, shelter, medical care) should not be associated with the same company- otherwise the billionaire should be paying restitution back to the state/fed funds.
-
There needs to be a percentage cap between the highest paid CEO's and owners – and the lowest paid employee- ( Amazon's CEO's pay package, not Bezos, earned him more than 6,474 times an AVERAGE worker's salary… not even the lowest paid employee!)
-
EVERYONE WORKING A FULL-TIME JOB deserves a living wage- even that kid at Mc Donald's (you don't know if they, even as a young teenager, for whatever reason, are supporting a family/themselves)
4. State and Federal Minimum wage increases should be applied to ALL employees – ALL! (if the minimum wage is $9.00/hr and an employee is making $10, then minimum wage goes up a dollar, the employee should be increased to $11 at the least– YES, if nothing is done, they are still in compliance- but now you've taken an experienced worker and basically made them minimum wage employee- giving them in essence a PAY CUT)
- Medical Care should not wipe out ANYONE'S retirement savings- no matter how they got them. I watched my father work hard for 50 years and in 5 months of illness it was GONE- it's wrong on SO many levels.
