To be clear, my boss has been nothing but kind to me. However, I realize that their fatal flaw is that they are so disorganized. They refuse to schedule meeting rooms so we often steal someone’s meeting room before we get kicked out, go over the allotted time for meetings, give me one set of instructions one day then have me do the opposite the next day, assign me projects that are not achievable by the current budget or technology we have on hand (we work in UX design), assign me projects that turn out to be not important and eventually abandoned, has me repeatedly poke people on email about projects/issues we’ve already closed (cause they forget they have been solved/completed even after I tell them we’ve closed the ticket), create multiple tasks cards on our planner board then asks me to consolidate them after seeing so many tasks (that they created btw), saves everything in Google Docs (not the company drive) then forgets the link to those documents and refuses to use messaging systems for live collaboration but rather long email threads where they have a hard time keeping track of the conversation. Today, they even asked me links to all the documentation to a certain project (which I already added on the file they are looking at because I knew they would ask and they still did!). Funny thing was, another coworker made an offhand comment how things were so quiet and smooth while they were out on vacation. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I try to be organized and stay on top of things (the planner was my idea). But I feel like a lot of the work is wasted and extra work is done on projects cause they forget about them. I have a presentation tomorrow and the way they want me to present the product doesn’t make sense at all and they keep pushing back the review of my slides. So I guess f it. oh btw, last email they sent me was at 10pm. lol
