Disclaimers: not in the U.S., non-English speaker
About a year ago, I posted how my previous employer tried to bribe me with my old job in order for me to not testify against them on a case (link above). This is a step by step update, resolution and news.
1. Six people were fired and offered their old job back as bribe. Only one accepted, in order to see the written offer. He immediately declined when he found a hidden NDA and brought the offer to the lawyer. All of us informed the lawyer about the offers.
2. The employer was penalized for tampering with witnesses, which apparently blindsided their legal department; apparently, HR moved on their own with the offers and hidden NDAs.
3. My former colleague was offered either three years of pay and her job back or five years of pay. She took the money; she already has a better job and didn't want to go back.
4. The news: during the trial, two doctors decided to become whistblowers against the hospital and said they were pushed by upper management to prescribe the minimum amount of sick leave for nurses and HCAs, because the hospital was understaffed. This led to the ongoing case, where 20 nurses and HCAs (myself included) are suing the hospital for medical malpractice.
The last part is still ongoing and I can't comment much, but I'll update when I have any news.
