What excuses did you get for not getting the job and did you respond?

I recently was reached out to by a recruiter for a hybrid role at Amazon Fresh. I went over my resume with the recruiter in detail. He knew the programs I had experience with which aren’t what they use at Amazon, similar but different and he set me up for 2 interviews. The first one I could feel I didn’t connect well with, the second felt like a better fit. After the recruiter went radio silent for 3 days after being in contact with me for several days in a row, I could tell I did not get this role. I followed up with the recruiter to have him say to me, “ they really wanted someone who had experience with their programs.” Having been sick of getting bullshit generic rejection responses, I replied letting him know that if that were the case, they wouldn’t have interviewed me in the…

They didn’t like me or feel like I was a fit to work myself to death for them. You got nothing to lose once you’re rejected. Call them out on their bullshit!
