Starting a new assignment for a few months as a per diem employee and I am scheduled for over 32 hours a week it seems, do they have to give me benefits as a per diem employee? Sorry might be a dumb question.
Also, the role that I am covering for gets paid pretty well and requires prior training and such in a certain software. I am definitely not getting paid what they get paid and the role requires quite a bit, they say it takes about 4-6 months until you are fully comfortable with the role.
I haven't really been given any set terms of employment I guess you can say, def not on paper. I am their first per diem employee and it seems like they are just going with the flow at the moment. Is there like a point to where I am sliding into the time and tasks of a full-time role without receiving the compensation of said role? It feels like I am somewhat being left in the dark and I feel like there is a line as to where per diem ends and full time role begins.
I am pretty new to per diem work and my last assignment was much more on par for what I believe per diem work would be. Looking for any suggestions or insights, thank you in advance!
Edit: forgot to mention that a few people in the dept are out for a few months so I am essentially coming in to help fill in for them.
