I’ve been working at this job for about a year now, and my boss knows that I’m not Chinese, but that I’m actually Vietnamese, but he keeps making these jokes and everybody just laughs and the company I work at is majority white people, so of course it’s easier for people to let these types of jokes slide.
Just recently, somebody was talking about how Chinese food is being offered by the canteen every Tuesdays and then my boss makes a joke to me “you hear that? Tuesdays is Chinese day” and everybody in the lunch room starts laughing and I remind him once again that I’m not Chinese, but nobody cares
There are also other reasons why I wanna quit like being micromanaged by an older coworker who always nitpicks and snitches to the boss about every little thing I do
