A uniquely bad boss that is both a micromanager and absentee at the same time

I work at a very small company of under <10 people. I've worked for micromanagers. I've worked for absentee bosses. But this is my first time working for someone who manages to be BOTH at the same time.

If I don't respond to a Teams message within 4 minutes, I'll get a “you there?” She'll sometimes send me an email, then I immediately get a Teams message that says “just sent you an email.” She rarely shows up for our staff meetings. She is constantly taking on new projects and then doesn't fill in the team on what they are, and then gets mad at us for not knowing what's going on, or for not “proactively asking” when we see some random thing in the calendar that she hasn't bothered to tell us about. She consistently leaves team members off of emails and then gets annoyed when we don't know what's happening. She regularly gives me time consuming tasks (which I am happy to do), usually with incredibly tight deadlines, then when I turn in the work… it's ignored. She doesn't review it. She doesn't send it to the client. It just disappears into the ether. It feels like I'm having a mind game played on me to “prove” that I am working. She moves goal posts for when tasks need to be done without notice and berates me for not reading her mind. She is constantly traveling to her vacation home and refuses to do any meetings during that time, then returns to the office all flustered about how behind things are.

I could go on and on and on. I've had bad managers before but this is a unique form of self-inflicted incompetence.

Sometimes I'll go I go and read my company's negative Glassdoor reviews to soothe the pain. Their page also got flagged by GD because management was artificially inflating reviews, lmao
