Antiwork

If you’re not gonna do your job, don’t bother coming in.

I work in a factory and every Saturday in my department is scheduled overtime. I don't always have to work Saturday, I usually somehow sneak out of it, but today I am working and a gripe of mine has grown today. Today when we came in, we had NO storefront. No parts built up, all of our totes we put our parts in were empty. A couple of the operators apparently also didn't run ALL. NIGHT. This is unfortunately normal for third shift. They run our stock out, barely build more if at all, then first shift has to play catch up. I don't know about second shift honestly, because we only ever see the aftermath of third shift. I've come in many times to all the parts I need being used up, like they didn't order more parts all night and just sat around. I'm starting to feel convinced…

I'm starting to feel convinced that the only reason we even have to work overtime every damn Saturday is because third shift doesn't do their job, and it makes the rest of us fall behind. But then they don't do anything Saturday either! We STILL have to do their job for them it feels like!! And it's incredibly frustrating.

Anyways that's my venting session.
