About a week ago a job recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. He wanted to talk on the phone and I thought it couldn't hurt to talk. Turned out I didn't have the experience he thought I had. But we talked anyway. He was telling me how some of these companies are looking for people with 5 years experience and NOTHING less. They will not do any training. Mostly metal machining,You come in fill out your taxes forms get right to work. I get the impression some of the work the companys were doing was making parts for defence contractors. (Aka probably stuff for the wars in Palestine and Ukraine) so probably high demand.Four and a half years experience?. Fu no thanks. Also lowest pay they can get away with. He told me his company actually had to turn down a contract because the company was offering such a low pay.
