This week from work has been hell
Started at a company last year and thought everything was ok. Was paid salary and 3 weeks of PTO and I was ok with it. Anyways fast forward.
I found out it’s not really salary. Cause if I need to miss a day to take care of an emergency they tell me I have to use PTO or I get docked pay. They only give 30 hours of PTO every quarter. So I’m not really salaried am I? Even on my pay stub it has hours and a hourly rate.
Fast forward. I went home to my home country which I haven’t been to in 4 years to see my family and grandparents. Went for 2 weeks even though “it’s against company policy to take more then a week vacation”. That was not stated in my contract. Got the go ahead to go anyways even tho I didn’t have enough PTO at the time. Still went
Fast forward both my grandparents pass away one month after that trip 6 weeks apart from eachother. I had to fly home for both.
The first FUNERAL of my direct relative they were ok with but annoyed. The second one has been a whole thing.
I had no PTO the second time so I could only go for 2 days (2 days of traveling) and then when I got back I was late cause of traffic for 2 days.
They just took away my company truck. Company card. Gas card. And now my health benefits.
I was told a week ago my work was 110%. They pull me in to say my work is shit and take away everything including health benifits.
I’m done. I’ve been applying to jobs all week and don’t know what to do from here on out. They said it was a privilege to have health insurance even tho it’s on my contract. Doesn’t matter cause I still don’t have it after a year due to their rules with the insurance even tho I did everything correct.
What do I do?
