Am I cooked chat?

I got a conditional seasonal job offer in the spring that only allowed me to be hired for the winter season if I first worked in spring. I filled out all requirements/paperwork, did so and did a good job during the spring as far as I know no complaints could stay late if they needed help etc. I was personally recommended by two current employees and then offered said job in a text confirming my availability back in the spring and the last text was me letting them know I was excited to return in the fall. So today my friend that also works at the company says there’s a meeting today I text the manager about it, I was supposed to reapply and they (who told both my other friends in a group chat I was not included in) sent out a request to apply nothing available online on…

So today my friend that also works at the company says there’s a meeting today I text the manager about it, I was supposed to reapply and they (who told both my other friends in a group chat I was not included in) sent out a request to apply nothing available online on their direct site but I’m assuming they had like an Indeed option. They NEVER sent me this information and in multiple written and verbal agreements told me I was allowed if not required to return in the fall and good to go.

All I had to do was sign an additional document that was due a week ago, I wouldn’t have known to do it unless I was instructed to but it was hiding in there. I found it on their site and submitted it today. My manager says because of this error (which is their fault not mine) they won’t be able to initially schedule me, even though their company gives preference to returning employees and one of my friends had the same situation happen to her and they just sent her everything and are adding her to the schedule. I let them know that I already requested the time (almost full time hours) off at my other job and was unable to be scheduled now there. I respectfully asked the manager to do what they could to get me on the schedule as I live on my own and have bills to pay and many of the new employees are teenagers living at home without responsibilities. All they could tell me is they would try to get me scheduled and I would be the first person contacted for call outs but they weren’t sure I would be on the schedule for now. My question is are they required to have me as a scheduled employee since I fulfilled my end of the job requirement and have a contract and multiple agreements that led me to believe I was already an employee and ready to start and be scheduled? I really don’t want to end up homeless because I was never sent a text message telling me to click a button after I already was hired
