All “young growing companies” are a lie

The whole idea of a very welcoming company culture is an illusion. Free snacks, unlimited PTO, resource groups for parents, people of color and LGBTQ is a false premise from the people that have stake in the company. VPs, C level and investors don’t invest in employees and their growth. The whole idea of a very welcoming company culture is an illusion. Free snacks, unlimited PTO, resource groups for parents, people of color and LGBTQ is a false premise from the people that have stake in the company.

VPs, C level and investors don’t invest in employees and their growth. They will still pay at the low end of industry, and only promote and give raises to keep the company alive.

“Growth” now is to complete a few mergers and acquisitions then sell the company.

But who gains from this again? Oh that’s right, the partners and investors.

And once these companies sell off, the parent companies don’t need everyone. There we see the axe thrown down. But hey, when c-level/partners get fired they collect on the m&a too.

Now let’s get to the bonuses. This is a rough estimate from colleagues of a few companies. Anyone in the entry/staff level receive 5% of their unlivable year income every year. 8% for directors. Low balling at 16% for VPs. And at least 50% for partners. Let’s not forget, these people are already making well over six figures.

So yeah, don’t believe in the “culture”. That doesn’t pay the bills.
