Dear Kevin,
I just got the Christmas email from the CEO, which contained the list of Christmas parties being put on by the company, over 35 of them. I did not see a party for our division, though three other divisions that work in our building were included. Do we go to one of those, OR are we not getting anything for Christmas this year?

Unfortunately, we will not be getting a Christmas party or a bonus this year because it is just not in the budget. However, I will set aside some money for next year. Have a good Christmas, and don't forget that the management expects you to hit the ground running in the new year.
