My bf and I have a small business with 10 employees. My shipper (remote worker) called me to give me a 7 day notice that he got a great deal on a flight to spend Christmas with his brother and that he would be unavailable until January 2nd. We are in the craft and jewelry supply industry so you could say it's a busy time of year . 20% of our sales are on the website, the rest are on another online sales channel. Without a thought we came up with a strategy to handle shipping for him and what to do about the website inventory that's stored at his location as customers placed orders.
