A poor man’s guide to work and finance for billionaires

The internet, and specially Reddit, is full of guides and tips for people living paycheck to paycheck to be less indebted. Also a lot of books on the same matter. I read some, and they all sums up to “you should grind and hustle for 40 years while missing any joy or enlightment in your life, so you’ll be not a burden in the system when your’re old”. Born poor? Too bad. Now go work your 60-hour week so you can buy treasury bonds for your retirement. While I do agree that we all should be optimizing our debts and interest rates, avoiding vapid consumption, and budgeting, I’m really disappointed that there are no tips for the billionaires to do their share of grinding and hustling over the financial hell they created. So, as a third-world worker, I’ll try my hand on that: •Don’t push everyone to do the same…

While I do agree that we all should be optimizing our debts and interest rates, avoiding vapid consumption, and budgeting, I’m really disappointed that there are no tips for the billionaires to do their share of grinding and hustling over the financial hell they created. So, as a third-world worker, I’ll try my hand on that:

•Don’t push everyone to do the same college. Only STEM are smart choices? Humanities are thrash? Well, if everyone only did STEMs, there would be a surplus of overqualified STEM degree holders for too few jobs. Oh that’s exactly the point? Too bad.

•You don’t need to pay that congressman from your pocket. It’s an unnecessary luxury for a couple millions of government tax handoffs.

•You don’t need to buy all the houses available. Specially the starter ones. This is a pointless consumption.

•You don’t need just another private jet or mega yacht. They emit more carbon on a single trip than a whole working class family on their entire life. You can buy any electric cars you want. Hell, you can manufacture one.

•You dont need to overwork your subordinates. You can hire more people to help out, and even pay them more. These workers will end up making you richer by buying back whatever they make for you. That was the exact point of changing from
feudalism to a market economy.

•Not everything needs to be a bank. Airlines? Car manufacturers? Even tech? Everything now is a bank with a side hustle of making stuff. This is a saturated business. Maybe you should worry about actually making nice things and services.

So, anyone got more tips?
