Hey all,
Got an interview, asked all the questions, looked like a good job…but they didn’t mention the mandatory overtime during busy season. It goes up to 60 hrs, and since it’s salary, I don’t get compensated for it (except for a relatively small bonus after it’s done, comes out to less than half of what I could have gotten).
Brought it up with a coworker who talked to the boss and the boss claimed that they did notify me about it, but I know for sure that’s BS, cuz I wouldn’t have accepted the job if they mentioned it.
Wtf do I do. It’s been a year, and a lot of overtime. I just want to quit but I need the money. The offer letter doesn’t mention overtime and I have it in writing that the hours were 9-5…
What’s the chances I can change my contract?
