I'm a night audit at a small hotel in a small town two nights a week. I get no benefits and $14/hr. Since my bills are low it's manageable, but barely. I'm hoping for a raise of a buck or two in the new year, since my State's minimum gets bumped up a buck or two. Just wanted to say that I'm really taking the “act your wage” movement to heart and am glad I found this sub. So here I am, at 2 in the morning doing nothing but scrolling and posting on Reddit. It's really slow at the hotel right now so an 8 hour shift is really about 1.5 of “work” and it's really easy “work”
I love acting my wage! I don't do ANYTHING above and beyond.
