Antiwork

After almost a year of negotiation, my workplace and our union finally reached an agreement.

Some of the highlights: A bare minimum raise of 2.50 (my raise of I'm moved to an appropriate step on the scale will be 4.28) An extra week of earned time off per year 4 extra days that are considered a holiday, to be paid at time and a half A $1000 retention bonus (in lieu of a years worth of back pay that would have given me a nearly $8k bonus) Bumps to weekend, evening, and overnight differentials. On call gets a 2.50 raise If you don't have a union you should start working on that. Retail workers especially need the safety and power that comes from a union. Fight on, brothers and sisters.
