I have had it with employers recently. I went from making a comfy $85k and am now in process of switching careers. I totally understand going in at a lower rate at the start, and I understand this profession is generally low paid- but i’ve found similar jobs with starting of $30/hour. On top of that, I did a phone interview followed by an in-person interview and got completely ghosted in January. She decided to message me 3 months later to ask if i’m still looking for a job. The initial salary she offered when I first interviewed was $27/hr. I’m annoyed as hell and finally just decided to start telling people they aren’t even paying a living wage. I live in California btw
