After IT integrated a new program to work along side the one we already have and after a server-wide operating system update(both in the same week) I’ve began to notice our original program has been acting up and I’m electing to just let it fall apart rather than argue with people.

I started a new job just over 2 months ago and we use a program on the computer for everything. Creating, posting, and printing sales orders, receiving, shipping, and charges. Everything. Last week a new program was integrated(mostly for the sales end but we're told my department may need it as well) and shortly after that was a company-wide server update for Windows. Since this happened I've noticed multiple times that the program we started with has been acting up a bit. Printing the wrong packing slip(which I then need to remove my old one and put the new one on), it not carrying over the correct picking list number, the program refuses to print, etc. etc. I have spoken to my manager, the IT guy, tried to tell the guy training me and I've gotten nowhere with these neanderthals. I am only met with “you're just doing it wrong,”…

I am only met with “you're just doing it wrong,” even the IT guy told me, “there's nothing wrong with it, the program is my baby and it's perfect”. No one will even humor me.

I thought that maybe, yes, it's possible that I am, indeed, just missing a step in shipping or receiving stock and I've been checking my work to make sure of that. Nope. I am not. And if I was just doing it wrong there would be obvious context clues that would pop up like certain codes not printing or not being entered, or product being shippes to the completely wrong place. And this is the type of VERY particular place where even small mistakes are brought up so there is no way that I'd be getting away with these things if I was just doing it wrong.

Finally it came to a head yesterday and I got really pissed off and refused to speak to anyone but you know what? Fuck em.

I tried to tell them something was wrong and how it cooinsided with the new integration of a new program as well as a server update so fuck em.

I just gotta keep telling myself that I'm getting paid very well to work a moderately difficult job with a more-than-moderate ratio of bitching and I'll sit and watch as other people have diffuclties as the program that the entire company sits on crumbles from underneath us.

I'm off to work now. Have a great day everyone! TGIF, EH?!
