I can’t believe it. I worked for over 2 years at this place putting in OT (unpaid) to meet deadlines only to receive an email that my “position had be eliminated to save the company money”. The CEO then promoted his 25 year old son to my position. The team I was on now consists of TWO of the CEO’s kids. NONE of the LT took any kind of pay cut and I know for a fact they all make 300k+ while I was collecting a measly 70 in comparison.
Now I get to enter a job market in early November right before the holidays while companies continue their hiring freezes. But hey, at least I got my PTO paid out to me I guess.
I always read these types of posts on here and thought “damn it sucks that places like that exist out there” but no, it really is like that for pretty much every business isn’t it? I mean, lesson learned, but wow I hate this and I’m scared I won’t find anything in the next 3 months with all the “I’ve been unemployed for 6 months” posts that I’m reading. How tf is anyone supposed to do this long term?
