Have any of my other anti work friends that work in healthcare feel this way?
I currently work in a healthcare facility and I have recently been promoted to a management position (after wearing scrubs most of my professional life) where dealing with insurance head on is one of my primary responsibilities. I cannot for the life of me understand how we, the land of the free, the wealthiest economy on the planet, landed on this system. Every day I watch people get denied for no reason for conditions that will deeply effect their quality of life over time. It happens 10 fold with patients over 60. Other countries take care of their elderly. Here we filter of all their finances to the top 1% and throw them in a building to be forgotten about until they die.
Why would I want to grow old here?????
