So I have been told that I will be looked into for a management position. Which, honestly I'd only take to get a code for the cash register so I do not have to bother anyone when I make a mistake there. Of course, I know it comes with more respensobilities.
Last week, there only were two candidates for this position. Me and someone else from our location. But this week, we got a new boss and two days in, the new boss mentions there are more candidates for that role -who did not move to our location yet so it is not possible to judge how they work. Or maybe they don't exist because how would he have two new candidates on his second day? While the manager before him never mentioned any applications for the position?
Well, I am not so competitive, so I continue working my way with the knowledge I have. And because I am a slow worker (due to me having been born with motoric skills, so I can either work at my pace or smash basically all products), I decided to praise the colleague to my boss. Said colleague is a fast one, as far as I can tell very proper and I can see that he wants the position more than me.
And after I praised the colleague, boss said that I need to work faster. Like??? I have three containers of produce to stock while dealing with customers and repeatedly having to move to the cash register. And still needing to do my break. You are speedrunning my dislike towards you.
