Alpha Novatech – Santa Clara, CA — BEWARE–

If you live in the Silicon Valley, and looking for a Sales Engineer position, beware of Alpha Novatech. (Google review I just listed) BEWARE: To the next Sales Engineer that is hired here. There is a long list of people that came before you, and you won't be the last. I don't normally feel compelled to write a review for the Company I was just laid off from, but this cut deep. Everything about this opportunity felt great. My supervisor and I had a great working relationship, and the training process went smooth. But he didn't have any control over another person who works here, who I was told not to cross because she is the owner's Wife's best friend. BEWARE: To the next Sales Engineer that is hired here. From the beginning I was told to directly go against the process I had learned from my supervisor, and follow her methods, which causes conflict, but also the direction she would give was inaccurate, and misleading 50% of the time. So when things 'hit the fan', I was left to blame, thrown under the bus. I had brought this to my supervisor's attention, but was told that my opinion doesn't matter, and that she is the Owner's Wife's best friend. So, even though I had excelled at every other aspect of my job responsibilities in my supervisor's eyes, none of it mattered because my true job description didn't involve what my supervisor thought of me, but depending 100% on our coworker (who was only on site 2 days a week anyway). This was a very painful experience, and I am seriously considering my options as far as filing a complaint, or finding out more about my rights in a wrongful termination. I had a great working relationship with everyone at the Company and I respected their legacy in the Heat Sink Industry, but none of that mattered when it comes to the toxic environment that was created. There is a reason that this position has a high turn over rate and it' has nothing to do with fulfilling the job responsibilities given to you by your supervisor, but an incorrect and undocumented method to follow, and please the owner's Wife's best friend whether it's incorrect or not.
