So I work at a dog daycare and kennel work is an entirely different low wage beast that I won't get into but I wanted to know if I'm getting taken advantage of or if im being delusional lol.
I quit my current job a few months ago and then came back bc despite its faults, it's way better than a lot of kennels/daycares I've worked at and it's mostly super chill and flexible for the most part, but when i came back my manager decided it would be better for me to have fewer hours (20-25 vs 30-35) which is fine and prolly for the best.
But since i've been back they've been scheduling me 4-5 days a week with less than 25 hours. So i'm driving there and back no less than 4 days a week for 23 hours AT THE MOST. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy my 6 hour work day, but gas is expensive and it's 20 minute drive.
Am I being crazy or is this kind of unfair? Last week I asked the owner (main boss, not my manager) to not schedule me more than 4 days when i have less than 25 hours.I guess i should have been more specific because she scheduled me 4 days this week for 23 hours (which is more hours than i've gotten in a long time and i was working like 22 hours over 5 days for weeks)
I just want other opinions bc I genuinely cannot tell if I'm being unreasonable or if theyre being inconsiderate by scheduling me so many days with so few hours.
