I did two first round interviews for two jobs at the same company, Junior Manager and Senior Manager. I felt like both would be jobs I'd enjoy and I really wanted my foot in the door at a somewhat respectable company. Would have accepted either one, the salaries were similar, only a couple thousand a year difference in the step up from Junior to Senior. A few more management responsibilities and authority with the Senior job. I actually preferred Junior Manager because it'd be less work.
They gave me a second round interview for just the Senior Manager job and gently told me I was a little overqualified for the Junior Manager. Does this mean I won't get offered either job? And I will have spent 3 weeks interviewing with these guys just to walk away with my just my dick in my hand?
I have applied at 30 jobs and done 7 interviews since my old company got bought up a month ago. I am jaded and exhausted with the interview process.
