I work 4 on 4 off but don't want overtime, generally in the past holiday cover is covered by overtime. I've been doing the job 9 years (7 years self employed and 2 years for the company) I'm on the same pay as 2 new starters and bob who's been there 5 years and they have wanted rid of him for 18 months.
I asked for a pay rise and they've said they can't right now, even though they make money on the night shift who do less get paid more and are all well experienced like me.
They are currently letting the new lad of 8 weeks train the lad who started last week, they didn't want to let Bob train him because he's useless, they asked if I could train him but I don't see why I should if we all are worth the same money.
I've had a newborn baby 4 weeks ago and have done 4 days overtime since, I think it's unreasonable to ask me to do anymore right now.
