Hi friends.
My friend worked as an Amazon delivery driver for about 2 months, after that time he felt the pace and job wasn’t for him so he put in his notice. They told him at the time his last paycheck would be paid as normal. A week later he went to check the app they use to pay employees and his account was canceled/closed by the delivery company he worked for. They told him he would have a physical check and could come by anytime to pick it up. His manager even confirmed it was in the office and he could pick it up anytime. He went yesterday to pick it up and was told they don’t allow former employees to pick up checks except on paydays. So now he has to wait until next week to get his check.
This doesn’t even sound correct or legal. Am I wrong in this thinking?
