I’m in a rough patch where I’m at, and the company is trying to get rid of me. Sometimes I think it may be the best thing, but at the same time I’ve never been fired from a job before. Based off the toxic work environment I deal with, and a horrible manager who rolls on his employees instead of supporting them, I think it’s pretty much a given, as nobody stays working for this dude more than a year or two at a time without quitting. I was given to him, he didn’t hire me and he’s a racist 100%, and I can’t respect anyone like that ever. I’ve been with the same company for 9 years, I just want to roll on my terms rather than getting pushed out. Any tips if I get fired before I get the chance to roll? I’ve got a degree and 20 years of professional experience, I just fear this will be a black eye on my resume, or make potential employers baulk at hiring me.
