Currently watching this unfold as $100k+ every month goes out the door to these “consultants” that have so far only recommended low hanging fruit changes like updating process documentation and some job descriptions. Meanwhile, not a single employee will get a raise. No new positions will be created as opportunities for advancement. Nothing will change that benefits any employee.
But make no mistake, leadership has patted each other on the back acting like they're making great strides here. Corporate America is such a joke.
BTW if you've never seen the House of Lies TV show, I highly recommend it. Real life consultants basically do the exact stuff they mock in the show.
