Anyone else gave up on the corporate ladder. I use to give it all and do 200 percent work. I do work that is beyond my job title, however the only thing I get is merit points, but no real increase in money. It feels like a scam to work hard in a company. Now I do work proportional to the others around me so as to not be fired. And I adapt to the baseline amount of work depending on the people around me. There's no point in burning myself out if I'm not gonna get hard reward. Fuck merit points, it's just recognition and praises to make you work harder. I wasted my youth, and health all these years with nothing much to show for it, and not enough to afford a decent condo in which I own. Basically I hate wage slaving for the landlord and the company.
