In the past month I've had a handful of recruiters reach out to me about an open position. Mostly via LinkedIn.
Every time the job was:
-
For a fully In-Office position. I've been fully remote since 2019 and it states I'm only looking for fully remote work in my profile.
-
Pay was well below what currently is considered “competitive”. Meaning what the job would have paid 5+ years ago.
-
Recruiter refused to state who the company was until AFTER they had sent my resume to them to review, and if THEY wanted to interview ME.
I brought this up to my Veterans Representative in my county to inform them to keep an eye out for this in case they were giving false hope to Veterans currently looking for a job. They told me this has been a common story the past couple of months at least!
Anyone else have this happen to them? Any ideas on what we can do about it?
