I've been applying for jobs and sending out resumes and cover letters for awhile now. I put a lot of work into each resume and cover letter, making sure it fits the job description.
I'm doing real work, spending all of my free time trying to optimize my chances for getting hired. However, at the end of the day, it just feels hollow. I don't see any results from my work and I don't get anything out of it. I'm spending my time in the hamster wheel going nowhere.
I'm trying to not let it get to me and feel discouraged, but at the same time, I can't help but think that if I put this much effort in actually working, I'd at least have a paycheck for my efforts.
