Appraisal coming, Manager suddenly developed memory loss, forgetting the team’s achievements

Yearly appraisal is coming Me and my team has worked exceptionally well, with managing above and beyond and meeting most targets. Reviews are good with internal and stakeholders. Never recieved any complaints or negative feedback. We are the best team my manager is managing which is why he forwards shit to us which is not our core Job , expecting us to check. Everything was fine till a month before, but suddenly I see a pattern with my manager who is suddenly developed memory loss of our achievements. These are his regular pharases these days- 1. When meeting with a new leadership members, the new leadership often doesn't know what has already been done and gives advise that you should do this this and this. Half of the things we already have done, but my manager instead of highlighting positives, goes on to agree that yes I agree, we haven't…


Yearly appraisal is coming

Me and my team has worked exceptionally well, with managing above and beyond and meeting most targets.
Reviews are good with internal and stakeholders.
Never recieved any complaints or negative feedback.
We are the best team my manager is managing which is why he forwards shit to us which is not our core Job , expecting us to check.

Everything was fine till a month before, but suddenly I see a pattern with my manager who is suddenly developed memory loss of our achievements.
These are his regular pharases these days-
1. When meeting with a new leadership members, the new leadership often doesn't know what has already been done and gives advise that you should do this this and this.
Half of the things we already have done, but my manager instead of highlighting positives, goes on to agree that yes I agree, we haven't look at that , And then asks me to add it to task list.
Then I have to tell, We have already achieved so and so and working on these milestones. It's not like we are just starting.

  1. During regular stand up calls-
    “we haven't looked at that”
    ” we should do this”
    ” let's create a project plan”
    Etc etc. And the things he says are generic and which we have already discussed or involves other teams who doesn't support.

  3. asks to create project plan with timelines for everything

  • tells that let's set regular call to review

  • we do so and but he never joins the further review calls to discuss progress.

  1. Doesn't want to be the bad guy: He is a push over and doesn't takes a stand firmly
    For ex. We launched training module which is mandatory for all to complete, I asked him to send a communication from his email to the leadership to ask their team members to complete ( wrote draft mail also ) . I asked because it will create more impact coming from VP, but he refused saying You send, I want to have autonomy and visibility.
    I don't need autonomy and visibility in this matter , I need your support.

These are just some of the instances. He is a good manager other ways, doesn't interfere in work life balance etc but I'm wondering why suddenly he is acting like we are not doing anything.
This is just cop out to give less or no raise in coming cycle.
