I (17M) recently got a job at Dunkin Donuts as an afternoon baker.
My hours tend to be 14:00 – 20:00 (closing), 15:00 – 20:00, or 16:00 – 20:00
I earn $11/hr, and we get free coffee and donuts, aswell as a free lunch up to $6 (for food only, coffee is always free) , then 50% off after
Off the clock we get 20% off.
We are a bit short staffed for afternoons. Most of the afternoon there's 3 of us. Me baking the donuts, our shift leader doing a little bit of everything, and someone running the drive through, front counter, and making drinks.
Our shift leaders are cool, and so are most of the workers. There is the work place drama of course. The only uptight people are the corporate, district managers, etc
My friends are telling me I took a horrible job offer, that I could be making more, and that I could get better pay elsewhere. Are they just saying this to get to me, or am I in a bad place?
