I’m a construction worker. I work in the summer and get laid off in the winter due to the weather. My employer doesn’t give paid time off or unpaid time off. I requested a week off (which would be unpaid as the company doesn’t provide paid time off). It’s the only week I’ve requested off during the season, and my boss is giving me shit because I was out 2 days a few months ago sick, which was covered by my sick days. This makes me unreliable and I gotta get my shit together.
