I always see this sub tagged in posts where people ask which subs are toxic. What gives?

It was a bartending job. The manager never had me file a W4, said he would pay me cash for training. I worked there for about 2 months and never received a paycheck. I was fired because there was no grilled cheese button in the system under sandwiches, so the only button I could find was under the kids menu. He accused me of stealing because of this. After I was fired I asked if he wanted my address to send me my wages he owed me, he said yes. I gave it to him. Waited two weeks, asked again, and offered to come pick it up. He never responded. So I reported them, because I know there's shady business going on. Even though it isn't a lot of money, I missed a car payment because of it. Is there any specific paperwork I need? All I have is a…
For those of you who remember my previous post about my coworker wanting us all to “donate” $25 of our hard earned money (there are four employees btw. Myself, two other female employees, and a new guy we hired) so she could get a $100 gift card for our boss. Then taking her out to a rather expensive lunch (which I put my foot down and opted out of. As well as the new employee.) First, it’s worth mentioning that I never even got included in presenting the card to our boss. I put my money into this and my two other coworkers took it upon themselves to present it to her while I was on the phone with a client. (They didn’t include the new guy either. And he also contributed.) I never got a “thank you” from our boss. Not sure if it’s because she didn’t think about…
Interviews are the worst.
I bet you’re thinking I didn’t make it through the initial screening. Incorrect. I did two rounds of interviews, including an in-person, hour-long presentation. I took two vacation days to prepare and participate in the second interview. Not to mention the hours of preparation spent on the first-round. So glad they took the time to write me a personalized rejection email …
I’ve been reading about the decentralization of labor in the late 20th century, how businesses moved from large factories in the city to smaller factories in rural areas mainly because workers are less likely to organize in small numbers. I’m wondering if the skeleton crews of today’s fast food places are done for the same reason. When I worked in one of these places, the managers used terms like “full-labor” and “half-labor” and they would send people home when business was slow. When you think about it, skeleton crews are great for corporate. They spend less on labor, workers are more stressed from the increased work and less likely to organize, customers complain about longer wait times but they blame the workers and not corporate. It’s just something I’ve been thinking about.
It’s almost as if a mangers job rests solely on being able to micromanage their people…Maybe get rid of the managers…
I posted a while ago on r/resumes and was completely ignored! I don't know where else to ask for help! I'm applying for the most basic jobs imaginable, like toilet scrubber at McDonald's. I've rewritten my resume several times. I've gotten entry level certifications like Food Safety and Cleaning chemicals safety. I have previous experience. I use ATS optimizers to make my resume as perfect as humanly/ Computerly possible. I check for errors. I am a bit awkward, despite buying several books on body language and human interaction. I'm far from being a greasy neckbeard. It's not my fault I was cursed with Autism! I thought ANYONE could get hired at Walmart or McDonald's??? What am I doing wrong? Please help! https://preview.redd.it/0lg3tpsjflvb1.png?width=645&format=png&auto=webp&s=53f9be81587eb41ba27c1d12e9f85e7f5db234fd https://preview.redd.it/73ah0apkflvb1.png?width=644&format=png&auto=webp&s=0b4a8fe18f1d062abc8f29a3b1d4a3b3ea07efbc https://preview.redd.it/lthyrbglflvb1.png?width=601&format=png&auto=webp&s=097ba29e513cd66afe2449e2396c55b49f73b587
