I work at a local hospital and was just assigned 13 on-call shifts for the month of November. These are 12 hour call shifts with one every 2-3 days and we are pretty much guaranteed to be brought in for them on top of our 40hr week. This seems extreme to me, but I am curious if anyone has experienced a similar situation. Honestly I don’t expect to work this much even when I become a resident physician.

Sup ya'll So back in August I was written up at my work. I feel like it was unjust and that my new manager despises me but whatever. She wrote me up for being late often (I'm usually a minute late or two, but I'm early just as often) and lately I have made it a point to be early (I clock in early so oh well). I was also written up for “excessive bathroom use” and when I asked for a written elaboration I was told that I use the bathroom 2-3 times a day for 20 minutes at a time. I said that this was untrue, it's usually 10 at most if that…but that I have digestive issues. I know not every member of SAG is a rich celebrity. But it would be so nice if everything was unionized and the majority of people could afford to strike like that.

I was fired from my last job over something dumb. I can understand why they had to cut ties, but when applying for new jobs if they ask if you’ve been terminated do you disclose that?

I hate my job and manager so much but with my dogshit resume i dont thibk i can go anywhere better. Used to have a better manager but they quit. Now i lay awake at night dreading going into the office and being face to face with my rat bastard manager who is sadling me with as many projects as possible. I hope i die or get fired. I hope my cancer comes back and kills me. I hope my manager dies.i need to die. I hate living like this. Living with my parents and under their thumb and my managers thumb and if i loose my jobi loose my healthcare. I dont care anymore society can kill me i hate it here. I hate that i survived cancer to live like this.

If so, how is it going? What steps did you take to rid yourself of work? If not, how would you propose going about leaving work for good?
