I went through three interviews. On my last one, they told me I'm competing against one candidate who is already working for the company. They said they might call back in a week. It's been two weeks now, and I'm starting to feel like they've forgotten me. I've already contacted them through text message and they haven't replied in 2 days. Should I just call, email, or move onto another job?

I didn’t realize i applied for this job and accepted the offer after doing the interviews out of curiosity. This is in Canada. Never seen such a clusterfuck of a company in my entire life. First of all they start you at 17$ CAD an hour in 5 month contract increments, once you complete two contracts you may be offered a full time role at 19-20$ CAD an hour. They expect you to juggle between chats and scrutinize every second of your day and can fire you for the dumbest reasons because it’s a contract that can be revoked at any time. You get no benefits, nothing. Zero. Even if you get a full time offer you get nothing. You get an expense card you’re not even allowed to use other than charge $60 a month on it for internet. There is NO paid time off. Fucking retail jobs have…
Weird recruitment email
I applied to a company that hangs Christmas lights; decided not to respond because it seemed shady. This was the last email I got before I unsucribed from their interest list.
I worked at a really shitty pizzeria. Shit pay, shit benefits. I was a shift manager, and we had gotten a new store manager about a month ago. The store manager was fucking awful and got consistently worse. Last Thursday, a football day (in Texas!) he scheduled 2 dirvers outside of their availability. I let the first go because she asked to, and because I had another coming in. Turned out the one replacing her was also outside his avilability so he went home too–without clearing it with me. I also had two cooks, one was 30 minutes late, the other two hours late. I don't know why the second hadn't been fired yet either, he was consistently late. I had another driver who was doing videos because the DM told him he needed them done ASAP. I was cutting pizzas with maybe 4 people in the store total and…
Hello, I’m posting this because I need to get it out to real people, and I don’t know where else to turn. I thought redditors here might be supportive. Basically, I used to be a teacher. I hated it. I quit teaching after last school year, never to return again. I am struggling with non-stop intrusive thoughts and stress about my time in the classroom. It was a very toxic work environment where it seemed like everyone was miserable, and a there was a culture of constant complaining and gossiping. Big staffing shortage (obviously). A lot of crying among staff, too (including meltdowns in front of the kids). Anyways, I keep thinking about the moments where I was pushed to my brink, and acted in ways than I’m less than proud of. Nothing horrible, but got pissed at administrators and fucking let them know. And got frustrated with kids, too.…
Got a warning letter. FML
I go on my days and suddenly HR asked to see me. I was slapped with a warning letter out of nowhere . The reason was that I proceeded something without getting my boss and client’s approval. Now, here’s the thing, normally I’m only given a task once all approval was given. Unless there are any changes made that I need to confirm. I wasn’t aware if there’s any changes nor I was made aware that client had changed their mind. Fucking hate my job right now.
Should I tell her off?
I'm either going to get called for a 3rd Zoom interview or I'm going to get the Dear John letter. Either way I want to tell the lady who interviewed me how rude and disrespectful she was. She was nice in the first interview. But in the second, she was just a rude bitch. The owner of the company was on it too and he and I connected. He looked irritated, but who knows. Have you ever told off the person who interviewed you? Either during or after the interview? If I do, I obviously would not take the job even if it was offered to me. I could not stand working with her.
I just left a, generally, wonderful job because the hours didn't make sense for me. My new job fell through, and I'm back into the thick of it, applying anywhere that's hiring. Within 10 minutes of applying, I get an email from Ross saying that I was not experienced enough to work there. Of course, they “wish me the best.” I have over two years of retail experience and over 4 years of work experience. How in the world am I not qualified to stock shirts? What do they want?
My boss is actually one of two bosses, they’re co-owners and semi-related. The main boss (we’ll call her Lisa) has said a lot of rude and inappropriate things to me. Maybe I’m taking them too personal. How would you guys react to some of these things if they were said to you/about you? “If something’s gonna go wrong it’s gonna happen to her” talking about me Screamed at me in my third week bc I handed her something wrong (in front of coworkers) In third week, told me, “I didn’t come here today to babysit you” Called me hard-headed.. one time told me she thought I was “on drugs” bc I got flustered and walked in the wrong direction Sorry to go on this long. Today, in my 5th week, as main boss lisa was leaving, she said “I think being around (my name) is raising my blood pressure” The…
