Does anyone want to share there experience applying for std? My anxiety has always been a problem in my life but this particular job is too good of an opportunity to just run away from. So today for the first time I have to convince a walk in clinic doctor to fill out 3 forms for me. I haven't had a family doctor since I was a child. The only medical history I have is being prescribed medication for my anxiety (meds I've gone on and off of for years). I'm scared ill get some old school doctor who will immediately dismiss me. Any advice would help alot thanks.
What would you consider the maximum amount of years to spend in one role before you consider asking for a promotion or job hopping? I know if you stay in one role for too long the job market will pass you by.
In a lot of front page threads (especially those about Karen’s, assholes, etc) I’ll see an almost predictable conversation in the most upvoted comments. User 1: “whiny entitled brat, just like the users in /r/antiwork User 2: “yes that’s why I prefer (diet antiwork)” Or some variation of that. Anyone else seeing a lot of that too lately?
That’s all.
Is it just me? Or is the paygap’s between workers and management getting bigger and bigger to the point you could fit two or three salaries between them…
The CEO at my employer is an odd man who scares everyone to death. Being in the elevator with him can be the end of their career if they don't say the right thing. Layoffs are coming and he is trying to determine in a very unprofessional way who should be laid off. He will approach staff members and demand that they justify their existence in the company. He basically says this: “The company is cutting staff soon and I am fact finding who is actually valuable to the organization. Tell me how you provide value to the organization and why we should retain you in the company.” Would you, could you convince your CEO you should be retained during company wide layoffs? (I live and work in a very small town with few employers and lack of good jobs, so we are desperate to keep working. )
I have worked for a hospital for awhile now as a part timer. Recently, I was offered a deal. Move from 20-30ish hours a week to a full time position with mandatory weekend work from time to time. Up till now, I already had benefits and didn't have to work full time. So I turned the offer down. Now I've found out that behind my back the sniveling mid boss, lets just call him Johnson, has requested that all future offers to me be rescinded. I've been with the company for awhile now, but can't figure out how to deal with this level of retaliation and discrimination.

I thought I finally found a good job, my boss was funny / fun to work with. We got along well I thought. I have been here now for 2 months. The first month was GREAT! He would give me constructive criticism, wasn't mean about it or anything, then August happened. Everything I do that I JUST LEARNED he yells at me for. He berates me and basically tells me I am too dumb to understand. There's no insurance offered… and I am losing my health insurance because I can't afford it… I try selling nudes/feet pics on the side to afford it.., but dunno where to do that easily :/ It's fully remote. 9-5. Salaried, and lot's of times I work 2-3hrs OT. I hate feeling so dumb.. He contradicts himself a lot then blames me… I want to be a stay at home wife at this point. But…
