Why does every company have a company specific site for job openings which require you to remake your entire CV in their forms if LinkedIn exists and I have to send my CV anyway? I recently had to connect my LinkedIn with the company's site, and I was relieved like they were going to pull all my info, but no, I sill had to input it all in again…. I am tired of doing this, every single job opening I want to apply to takes about 30-60 min due to me having to input information that's already on my LinkedIn. Not to mention the ones that require you to pass a skill test that also takes 1-2 hours, when I have a portfolio filled with examples of my work, as well as working experience with other companies. And then, if I even ever get an interview they request me to…

This is like my 4th job ever, I've never really been the outcast at a job. I also haven't been in a place where the people in my department were so buddy buddy its kinda cringe. I did give an effort but they excluded me realtively quickly so once that happened I decided I'm just here to work and not make any type of social relationships. I'm more worried at this point about career progression at this company. I like the people around the building but being an outcast in my department just seems bad. I'll tell you one thing, this experience is something I would hope to avoid again. Don't think I will look for a job that is not remote anymore.
Feeling guilty for work absences
OK, gon a try and keep it short. I've been absent from work a bunch lately and it's because I've been sick a lot. I'm a swim instructor at a (granted, severely overstaffed. We have a shit ton of people and boss just keeps hiring more n more) swim school. I work 4 days a week. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. August 9th, a Wednesday, I got my wisdom teeth out so I didn't come back until the 15th just to take time to heal up so I wouldn't be walking into work swollen and bleeding. Then about two weeks ago, I took another week off from work because I caught whatever virus is going around right now from one of the kids. Worked 2 weeks just fine afterwards. This Wednesday I was told I could stay home cause we had too many people on staff. Sweet. Thursday and Friday, we…
Got a call last week from an employer saying that since they dragged their feet and took longer than 30 days doing my background check and waiting for other test results, that I have to go do another drug screen. The whole thing has been a mess, calling on weekends, sometimes after 10 pm, just to pester me about going to do various tests (all of which I had done days before they called to ask if I'd done it) I'm ghosting them now. I don't want to work with such a disorganized bunch of people. Just a matter of time before they mess up somebody's pay
I Got Reprimanded for Rolling My Eyes
Where I work, we have been waiting over a month to get an updated product from a consultant. My direct supervisor wanted to launch it this past week but the site supervisor didn’t feel it was ready to go. We reconvened yesterday and there were still no updates. While we were meeting, the consultant called my supervisor. After a few minutes, she put him on speakerphone. He made some remarks about how the product was done yesterday but he had been too tired to email it and that we should have it by the weekend. Since this sounded like a cop out, some of my colleagues chuckled and I rolled my eyes. My supervisor finishes the call and we are planning to launch Monday with the promise that this stuff will come over the weekend. Cut to 20 minutes later, my supervisor texts me and one of my colleagues she…
Stay active on teams
Hi everyone, I’m working remotely and I was wondering if there was any way to remain green (active) on teams. I have an apple mouse ️ and I’m working on a MacBook Pro
