Thoughts on reneging?
I'm a fresh graduate looking for jobs now, and I'm seeing online that reneging us generally frowned upon and apparently could cause a lot of damage to ones professional reputation. Situation: I've got a job offer that is kinda meh but I don't know if I can even get another in this job market. I am supposed to start in July but the offer needs to be accepted/declined in 1 weeks time. What's the realistic outcome of continuing to interview even though I've already accepted one job? I see plenty of sources discrediting this practice but I honestly don't see that much impact aside from “professional reputation” being breached and the company losing time to replace me. Appreciate your insight on this!

First step: buy land. Hella land. Second step: build houses and establish a pretty scene. Make shops and an entire self sufficient community (farms and stuff) Third step: move people into the houses and charge 2$ a day rent. (Would be paid towards repairs and none of the money would be pocketed) Fourth step: move in myself and use whatever money is left (more than likely hella) to do it again, specifically for homeless people. Fifth step: (for the first village) work and live same as everybody else to make the community look good (For the village specifically for the former homeless) establish rehab centers and all that, to make sure they're all healthy both physically and mentally.

This has been organized by Rev William Barber II, who stepped down from the NAACP in 2017 to revitalize the Poor People's Campaign that MLK Jr. so wonderfully fought for in his time. Here is the tweet video where Rev William Barber II announces the June 18th meeting for poor people & low wage workers. Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers' Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls The June 18, 2022 Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls will be a generationally transformative and disruptive gathering of poor and low-wealth people, state leaders, faith communities, moral allies, unions and partnering organizations. It is NOT just a day of action. It is a declaration of an ongoing, committed moral movement to 1) Shift…
I (27F) wish I didn’t have to work but bills obviously need to be paid. So I’ve been on the job hunt for over a month and I’ve done several job interviews that haven’t really led to anywhere until recently. This job interview was held after I signed up for a job agency because I was having no luck getting a job on my own. So the job agency matches me with a potential job offer and says the owner of the company saw my resume and was really impressed. The first red flag: having the job interview outside of the office. While I know this is actually more common, I’ve never been to a lunch interview before. I was curious and when the guy told me to pick a place, I picked one of my city’s most best brunch places (it’s a local restaurant so I don’t want to…
