Are people pro- automated work?
Interested to hear people's thoughts. Personally my view is that I am pro automation, and that we should be aiming for a world in which working is optional as much as possible. The downside is obviously corporation greed, so I know this is super idealistic thinking and will never happen. In reality the money saved from automation goes to rich getting richer.

Had an interview today with a car parts retailer. I applied online and put down under desired salary $15/hr. (I low balled myself just because I’m trying to get out of my current shitty job.) I applied for housekeeping since that’s what I do now. I make $14/hr where I’m currently at. I was called in for an interview and they didn’t offer me house keeping but a position they call customer service. They mentioned duties were stocking, cleaning, warehouse order fulfillment, returns, shipping and receiving. It’s 10-12 hour days, five day weeks. (I don’t see how most of those duties is customer service but okay? Under their career site, customer service was listed as a remote “call center” customer service. I asked rate of pay and they said we will discuss that during orientation. I pressed for info since it was never stated online, on their site nor indeed.…
