Doesn't matter if it's public service or private sector. Long hours of work in administrative positions, for example, is stupid when for only a small period of time you are actually doing something. The technology is here, we are backtracking and keeping “working” hours high instead of lowering and making it more efficient. 20 hours and home office should be the norm and the disparity of wages should be lowered and minimum wage raised. Everyone should be able to have TIME for themselves/with their families. Problems in mental health are rising – if there are workaholic people, that's just a fraction of the population – and even then there are jobs that one simply wouldnt have anything to do till the next demand. Bottom line is: 4 commited hours a day is plenty to solve everything in the majority of administrative jobs (but not only) – and, of course, two…

Feeling Good About This One
So basically if you look at the employee reviews for my job, all of them say the same thing. “NEEDS A NEW MANAGER” “needs better pay” “needs more respect”. I completely agree with this and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Basically 90% of the place feels the same way. Our boss belittles us, manipulates us, and hands us shit for gold. Well, 5 managers and 2 workers just all put in their 2 weeks after our boss verbally assaulted one of them. They’ve all had enough, I have had enough. I am so thrilled that this is finally happening. The owner of this small business needs to realize what a twisted piece of shit this guy is. It’s always the individual’s problem, but this is clear proof that it’s way much more than that for workers. It’s the boss who abuses us that sucks. Our labor should…
Bootstraps. Use them.
It feels like an employer’s halfhearted contingency plan to pay you as little as possible without making you quit. Thanks for this useless gift card, but I’d have felt more appreciated if I was given a raise greater than 1.4% for my annual appraisal when inflation went up 6.8% and we had multiple meetings talking about how we profited during the pandemic.
I worked at a restaurant that was on a very busy “bar” street. The owner was this sweet old woman, but she ended up giving the whole place to POS alcoholic son. He was such an aggressive, angry, creepy person(40+ years old and would constantly hit on the 18-19 year olds.) He got this very pretty just turned 18 year old to go out drinking with him. He got her extremely drunk, kicked her out of his place, smashed her phone, and refused to take her home or call her a ride. She ended up in a bad wreck and literally ruined her life. (Just to give y'all a little picture of who he is) Once a year they had a festival and every employee was forced to work from open(8am) to close (anywhere from 1am-3am). This was the busiest day of the year. The rules were absolutely no breaks.…
